Cancellation Policy
Appeldoorn's Sunset Bay Resort must be notified in advance for all cancellations.
• Cancellations before 90 days out will not be charged a cancellation fee.
• No refund will be available with less than a 30-day notice, and you will forfeit your payment.  

Terms & Conditions:

Guest Responsibility:
Guests are responsible for the entire duration of the original reservation. No discounts or pro-rates will be given for late arrivals or early departures. Quiet Hours:
Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. Disruptive guests will be asked to leave without a refund.

All reservations require a 50% deposit or full payment.

• Check-in: 4:00 p.m.
• Check-out: 9:00 a.m.
  If you need a later checkout, please check with the front desk for availability, which may be subject to a surcharge.

No Smoking:
All cabins are smoke-free. Designated smoking areas are available outside. A minimum cleaning charge of $300 will be applied if smoking is detected inside the cabin. Damage and Cleaning Fees:
The cost of any damage to resort property will be charged to the credit card on file. Additionally, an excessive cleaning charge of $200 may be applied if the cabin is left in significant disarray. 

Housekeeping:
We provide cleaning before and after your stay. If you need fresh linens or towels during your stay, please bring them to the office for an exchange.

Parking:
Please park only in designated areas. Parking on the roadside by cabins 3 & 4 leading to the beach is prohibited for safety reasons. Watercraft Safety:
Life jackets are required on all paddleboats, kayaks, canoes, and jet ski rentals. Minnesota law requires children under 10 to wear life jackets at all times. Towel Policy:
Room towels are not for beach use. Beach towels are available for purchase in the gift shop. A $30 fee will be charged if room towels are found at the beach. Beach Access:
The beach is for registered resort guests only. Children under 13 must be supervised by an adult. There is no lifeguard on duty, and swimming is at your own risk. Please respect neighboring private property.ATVs/UTVs:
ATVs and UTVs may only be used to access marked trails and must be stored on trailers when not in use. Trail maps are available at the office. 

Campfires:
Campfires are allowed only in designated fire pits. For safety reasons, no fires are permitted on the beach.

Dogs are allowed at the resort under specific conditions:

• Dogs must weigh under 30 pounds unless prior approval is given by management.
• Dogs must always be on a leash and cannot be left unattended in cabins.
• A dog park is available for exercise, and dogs can swim from 7 a.m. - 8 a.m. daily.
• Pets will be charged $40 per day, per pet, or $200 per week, per pet.
• Dogs must be friendly, vaccinated, and on flea preventative.

Cleanup:
Pet stations with waste bags are located throughout the resort. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Disruptive dogs will be asked to leave without a refund.

Cats:
Cats are not allowed on the property or in rooms.

While we aim to accommodate parking for boats, parking directly next to your unit cannot be guaranteed. Boats may be parked in surveillance areas, but leaving them unattended is at your own risk. Appeldoorn's is not liable for theft or damage to boats. Please plan accordingly.
